Kelsey Castanho

Kelsey is a current 3L at University of San Diego School of Law, slated to graduate in May 2024 and take the California Bar Exam in July 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Soka University of America. She is the recipient of the 2023 Joel and Denise Golden Merit Award in Child Advocacy. She served as the President of Advocates for Children and Education at USD Law and Co-chair of Representatives for Youth in Academic Affairs.

Kelsey has honed her legal skills through internships with San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Education Law Program and the University of San Diego’s Education and Disability Legal Clinic. Additionally, she contributed to the community by volunteering with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, where she participated in the Conservatorship Clinic and the Peer Mediation program.

In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys immersing herself in nature by hiking, camping, swimming at the beach, and visiting national parks. Kelsey also enjoys crafting book nooks and other home decor from recycled materials.
