Barbara Major
IEP Advocate & Paralegal
Barbara Major is a mom to two, one of whom has autism. She has a professional background in educational technology, customer care and paralegal work. Like many parents of children with special needs, Barbara was led into advocacy when she needed to advocate for her own child. She received her certification as a special education advocate from the University of San Diego and has served as a respected special education advocate in the San Diego community for over 16 years.

During down time, Barbara loves dabbling in some creative endeavor. A former photographer, she still dusts off the camera on occasion. You will often find her nose deep in a novel gearing up for her next book club with cherished gal pals. And she enjoys writing almost as much as reading; maybe someday she will have a novel of her own! She loves making baked goods for loved ones especially over the holidays. But her greatest joy is spending time with family, especially her now two grown sons.

Barbara has worked with many parents, providers, and attorneys over the years. With her personal and professional experience, and with the collaborative team here at the Law office of Meagan Nunez, Barbara brings a special blend of expertise and compassion when working with our clients.Â
