Kelsey Castanho
Associate Attorney
Kelsey Castanho is an associate attorney within the Law Office of Meagan Nunez and joined the firm as an attorney in 2024. She grew up in Chula Vista in San Diego County. As someone who grew up with an IEP herself for ADHD, Kelsey knows firsthand that if students are provided with the proper support, they can succeed and thrive. After watching her parents work hard for her to receive appropriate support over the years, Kelsey gives back every day by continuing that work for her clients.
Before Kelsey was a licensed attorney, she worked in the Law Office of Meagan Nunez as a law clerk, working with our office on due process complaints, mediations, hearings, and federal appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Kelsey honed her legal skills in the area of special education through internships with San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Education Law Program and the University of San Diego’s Education and Disability Legal Clinic. Additionally, she contributed to the community by volunteering with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, where she participated in the Conservatorship Clinic and the Peer Mediation program.
With a hunger for learning and a strong dedication to Students, Kelsey is always looking to expand her knowledge of various students’ needs and the changing landscape of the law and educational policy.
